Unique Events – These events change every month, and will likely only be brought back upon request.
Tuesday, July 30th at 3pm | Silent Library
Teens will get the chance to test their mettle through a series of challenges in order to win prizes. The only catch is you have to be completely silent while doing it!
Wednesday, August 14th at 1-3pm | Escape Room
Calling all adventurers, treasure seekers, and those who just love a good challenge! Sign up with your friends (up to a team of 4) or complete it solo. Registration is required for this event. Sign up at the Lithgow Library’s calendar events on our Home Page.
Tuesday, August 20th at 3pm | Environmental Career Q&A
Join two educators from the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed at Lithgow Public Library for an info session and Q&A about studying the environment in college! If you have questions about the environment, college, and the opportunities to pursue a career in the environment, this is the info session for you. Maggie is a college student from Central Maine who studies education and environmental policy, and she’ll be available to provide information about her experience and can answer questions you might have about. Snacks and drinks will be provided, we hope to see you there!

We’ll be offering free reign of the teen room crafting cart! There are no limits, and no expectations. What will you make?
Tuesday, August 27th at 3pm | Paint Night…Magnified!
Join the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed for paint night featuring microscopes and plants! Attendees will have the opportunity to use two different kinds of microscopes and get a very close look at different types of aquatic plants. Whether you choose to paint aquatic plants or not is up to you, we welcome you to flex your creativity and share the space with you! Registration is recommended so we can ensure we have enough paint, canvases, and snacks. Sign up at the Lithgow Library’s calendar events on our Home Page. We hope to see you there!

Every Month | Teen Movie Night
Join us in the teen room for a movie and some popcorn on Every Fourth Monday in the Teen Room at 4:30pm.
Every Month | Teen Book Bags
Teen Book Bags are for teens who want book recommendations – with swag! Teens will have these options to choose from: fidgety, self-care, & surprise me, along with their favorite candy.
You can request a Teen Book Bag once per month, and must have a teen Lithgow Library card to use this service.

Our Teen Take & Makes will be available in June! Sign-up for summer reading while you pick up your crafts!
