Summer Reading 2024

The Lithgow Public Library is the place to be this summer! Sign up for Summer Reading at the Library starting June 17. We’ll have a bingo-style reading challenge with prizes, special programs, regular story times, crafts and more.

2024 Summer Reading Challenge

HOW TO START

  • You can sign up for Summer Reading by stopping in the Children’s Room, calling us at (207) 626-2415, or emailing at kids@lithgowlibrary.org. When you sign up, you will receive a bingo board with your 2024 Summer Reading Challenge!
  • Summer reading will run from Monday, June 17 through Friday, August 16.

HOW TO PLAY

  • Complete a reading challenge in any bingo square you choose.
  • Try to choose a different book for each reading challenge.
  • When you complete a challenge, cross it off.

HOW TO WIN

  • Complete 5 squares in a row (up, down, or diagonal) and come to the Children’s Room to claim a prize. You can get a prize for each completed bingo line, up to five times.
  • Complete the entire board and come to the Children’s Room to claim a free book!
  • Kids ages 6 to 12 who finish the entire board can also enter a drawing to win a new bike, thanks to a generous donation of fourteen SE Bronco BMX bikes by the Bethlehem Masonic Lodge #35 AF&AM of Augusta. Entries will be taken in the Children’s Room through August 16, and bikes will be awarded before Labor Day.
  • Other prizes can be collected in the Children’s Room until school starts.
